In 2011, Shanghai Urban Construction Group officially unveiled new reform and transition. Shanghai Urban Construction Group injected its core assets into STEC and finished the listing and restructuring efforts. The total capital volume of STEC rose from 733 million to 1.285 billion shares. It laid an important foundation for Shanghai Urban Construction Group to be completely listed as a new STEC by the platform of old STEC. In 2013, with the involvement of Shanghai Municipal Maintenance & Management Co., and the Pujiang Tunnels Operation Management Co., they brought more than 90% operation and maintenance business of fast road network in Shanghai to Shanghai Urban Construction Group. It accelerated the forming of whole industry chain with infrastructure investment, construction, operation and maintenance of the Group. Shanghai Urban Construction Group officially announced to switch to an “Urban Infrastructure Integrated Service Provider”. Shanghai Urban Construction Group tried to look upon the development of cities and the company from a more comprehensive and sustainable development perspective. Shanghai Urban Construction Group changed business schemes, created value and started a transformative journey with the new position secured by integrated advantage in market.

STEC absorbed core assets from Shanghai Urban Construction Group successfully. Listed assets of Urban Construction reached 75% of the whole Group’s assets. In the same year, STEC carried out the maximum bonus share plan since the company’s establishment to share development achievements of the company with shareholders and investors.

the sculpture “Originator”, which represented STEC as the founder of China tunnel industry, stood proudly at “South Riverside”, the “Heart” of the reform and development in both sides of Shanghai Huangpu River. Setting sail from “Originator” again, the new future is expanding gradually.

to further supplement an important part of the Group’s industry chains “Operation and Maintenance”, Shanghai Municipal Maintenance & Management Co., and The Shanghai Pujiang Tunnels Operation Management Co. joined Shanghai Urban Construction Group. It also laid an important foundation for the new service mode of urban development, in which the new STEC will cover the “Whole Life Cycle” of infrastructures.

the first general integrated project, Nanjing Airport Line, was opened to traffic. Other General Integrated projects contracted by Shanghai Urban Construction Group were either completed or signed, such as Nanchang Chaoyang Bridge, Nanchang South Outer Ring Road, Changsha Wanjiali Elevated Highway, first phase project of Huai’an modern tram and Hangzhou Qianjiang Tunnel, which included investment, construction, operation and maintenance. That marked the change of Shanghai Urban Construction Group from “Supporting Role” to “Main Role” in urban construction.
