Dalian Road Tunnel is the first cross-river tunnel constructed by “BOT” method in Shanghai. Completed and opened to traffic on September 29th, 2003, the important cross-river channel connects the North Bund and the Lujiazui Financial and Trade Zone. Its entrance in Puxi is located around the intersection between Dalian Road and Huoshan Road and its entrance in Pudong is located around the intersection between Dongfang Road and Rushan Road. The whole line is adjacent to Line 4. Since 2017, STEC Urban Operation has officially introduced the OSM on-site management system in the Dalian Road tunnel by comprehensively upgrading the original resource management module and adding “service management” and “safety management”. Additionally, it has further refined the operation and maintenance specifications, customized three standard manuals according to the actual operation and maintenance situations, thus substantially promoting the fine management. As a result, it has won the honor of “the Team for Trustworthy Municipal Engineering Quality” issued by the China Municipal Association. Taking Shanghai Dalian Road Tunnel that has been constructed for almost 20 years as its first case, STEC Urban Operation promotes the implementation of full-life-cycle management mode on the built facilities. It has widely applied advanced technologies and devices like automatic tunnel inspection robot and “BIM technology” to accumulating a strong impetus for Dalian Road Tunnel on the road of wisdom, innovation and breakthrough.

The North Cross Channel forms an important part of the “three-horizontal and three-longitudinal” backbone road network in Shanghai. STEC Urban Operation has formulated a professional operation and maintenance plan in view of the characteristics of “long distance (with a whole length of 10.8 km), narrow lane (3 m in width) and low space (with a height limit of 3 m)” of the North Cross Channel. The company has built and applied an intelligent management platform for the full life cycle, and configured a series of smart systems such as intelligent fire detection, civil work structure detection and ultra-high warning. It has also employed the intelligent inspection by trackless robot, the new energy equipment, the easy-cleaning paint, etc., to promote the upgrade in the whole-life-cycle mode. At the same time, the company has established an operation guarantee mechanism with “1 center, 2 emergency rescue points and 5 management zones” to give full play to the advantages of regional road network linkage. Wenyi Road Tunnel is located in Xihu District of Hangzhou City. It starts from North Baochu Road in the east and end at Zijingang Road in the west. The Tunnel forms a part of Desheng Expressway in the “four-longitudinal and five-horizontal” urban expressway network planned and designed by Hangzhou Municipal Government. In the initial planning and construction of Hangzhou Wenyi Road Tunnel, STEC Urban Operation took Wenyi Road Tunnel as the pilot application project, participated in consultation, and took into account the operation and maintenance demands upon its completion in advance. It cooperated with Zhejiang Province to construct the first domestic tunnel in full-life-cycle operation and maintenance mode. Guided by the concept of full-life-cycle operation management, STEC Urban Operation has developed a full-life-cycle tunnel management platform with data traceability throughout the process of design, construction, operation and maintenance. It established a real-time operation and maintenance evaluation system, thus striving to realize the “incomplete road closure during overhaul”. The research achievement on the full-life-cycle operation and maintenance project of Wenyi Road Tunnel have been highly praised by industrial experts and fully approved by Hangzhou Municipal Government. The relevant operation standards have been incorporated into the local standard of the Technical Code for Urban Tunnel Maintenance in Zhejiang Province.

The Third Minhang-Pudong Bridge works as one of the crucial north-south trunk roads connecting Minhang, Fengxian and Jinshan districts in the road network planning of Shanghai. With its main pier in the center of the Huangpu River channel, the Bridge serves as a two-way six-lane secondary road. The cross section of its main beam adopts a cross-bedded layer of fast lane and slow lane. Sixteen large elevators are installed on both sides of the bridge for pedestrians and non-motor vehicles to cross the river. STEC Urban Operation takes the Third Minhang-Pudong Bridge, the first newly built cross-river bridge with “full life cycle” in China, as the demonstrative project, and conducts researches on operation data standards, operation status evaluation, scientific decision-making maintenance, policy guarantee mechanism, etc. Through the real-time monitoring that covers the entire facility operation, the company regards the data collection and evaluation as its core, and takes the standard specifications, information fusion, accurate evaluation and scientific decision-making as means to build the “full-life-cycle intelligent operation and management platform” for cross-river bridge. G15 Jialiu Expressway works as a crucial access to both Taicang and Nantong. It runs through the north and south of Jiading Industrial Zone, and undertaking most of the logistics and transportation tasks among those important cities along the Yangtze River Delta. In view of G15 Jialiu Expressway featuring the “large traffic flow, interweaving and logistics”, the integrative “construction-operation” management mode has been adopted for the first time. STEC Urban Operation mainly undertakes the functions of traffic organization and emergency support, and builds “one platform and three sets of systems” around the overall goal of “dual improvement and dual fall” (That is, to improve the efficiency of facility access and emergency support, and to reduce the probability of traffic accidents and the impact from maintenance work on traffic). The platform covers all types of facilities, such as roads, bridges and tunnels. It has been divided into six modules, namely “operation, maintenance, evaluation, inspection, supervision and decision-making”. It focuses on four core businesses, namely the rapid response to emergencies, the emergency linkage during severe weather, the digital supervision over daily operation and the evaluation on facility safety. By virtue of this platform, the company has realized the comprehensive awareness of transportation infrastructure situation, the intelligent trend prediction, the overall planning and scheduling of resources, and the human-machine collaboration of action. The platform has facilitated the transformation of infrastructure operation and management from human-intensive labor to human-computer interaction, from operation judgment to data analysis, and from passive disposal to active discovery. Currently, the platform has been connected to the Shanghai Urban Operation Center so as to ensure the safe and orderly urban operation.

Shanghai Rail Transit Line 18 works as a north-south tangential line running through the eastern part of Shanghai, which was opened at the end of 2020. It runs through the hinterland of Baoshan, Yangpu, Pudong and other districts, and adopts six-section A-type driver-less trains with a maximum speed at 80 km/h.
The subway station maintenance project covers 36.9 operative kilometers and 26 stations, of which 9 are transfer stations. Serving as the main management principal for station maintenance on the Line 18, STEC Urban Operation takes charge of the operation and maintenance of conventional station structure, ventilation, water supply and electricity systems of Line 18 by comprehensive and intensive property management mode. The company is responsible for the overall operation by contracting labor and materials and cuts the total population for those production tasks by 25%. Simultaneously, it has actively cooperated with the owner to establish the 24-hour command center and configure professional dispatchers, thus laying a good foundation through digital empowerment for the digitized control era of integrated property management over rail transit stations.

The Fourth Ring Line and Dahe Road Rapid Engineering PPP Project is the first highway PPP project in Henan Province undertaken by STEC Urban Operation. The East Fourth Ring road section covers a total length of 17.828 km, starts from Dahe Road in the north and ends at the South Fourth Ring Road in the south. The project passes through Jinshui District, Zhengdong New Area and Economic Development Zone of Zhengzhou City. The road is graded as urban expressway and the design speed of its main line is 80 km/h. The operation and maintenance tasks include but are not limited to the daily operation, repair, cleaning, inspection, maintenance of road engineering, bridge engineering, rain and sewage engineering, greening engineering, illumination and landscape facilities, ancillary facilities, traffic safety facilities, railway construction projects, etc., the project overhaul, and other operation and maintenance required by Party A.
Currently, the combined management and maintenance platform for East Fourth Ring has realized a full-view maintenance mode via one screen. It fits the current maintenance mode in two application scenarios of both daily and emergency command.
