In 1970, STEC built Shanghai Dapu Road Tunnel, the first river-crossing tunnel in China. Since then, STEC has undertaken the construction of 8 of the 9 super-diameter tunnels above 14 meters that have been built or under construction in China and 18 of the 19 river-crossing tunnels under the Huangpu River in Shanghai. By virtue of the world-leading technologies, such as shield tunneling method, immersed pipe method and tube curtain method, STEC has contracted nearly 100 domestic and foreign tunnel projects through total integration or engineering procurement construction. The diameters of our products basically cover all of the existing tunnel engineering sizes across the globe.
